Apply Now for the FISU Volunteer Leaders Academy 2024

Are you a tertiary student in New Zealand passionate about sports and looking to make a difference? Here's an exciting opportunity just for you! University and Tertiary Sport New Zealand (UTSNZ) is now accepting nominations for the 2024 edition of the FISU Volunteer Leaders Academy (FVLA).

The FVLA is an incredible opportunity for students aged 18 to under 25 who are interested in university sports events and are actively involved in sport, cultural, and social life. Selected participants from around the world will first attend an introductory online session on June 24th, where they will learn about the International University Sports Federation (FISU) and its various events and activities. The main session is then scheduled for September 13th and 14th.

The FVLA educational programme includes workshops on volunteer management at sports events, development of the FISU Student Ambassadors programme, preparations for IDUS 2024, media and communications studies, and lectures from representatives of international organisations responsible for major sports and cultural events.

The aim of the FVLA is to educate future FISU Student Ambassadors to promote university sport values and assist their NUSF in implementing international, national, and local projects and activities.

Don't miss this opportunity to enhance your leadership skills, network with students from around the world, and make a meaningful impact in university sports.
