Scholarships that facilitate tertiary study provide talented football athletes with support for academic endeavour alongside training and competition.

Ensuring that talented young athletes in New Zealand sport are also supported to achieve and realise their academic potential is an extremely important aspect within the New Zealand sporting landscape.
Acknowledging this, Football South have recently partnered with the University of Otago and the Otago Polytechnic to provide scholarships for talented young football players who have academic aspirations.
