2026 Big Lake Tournament: Tertiary Water Polo

Hamilton Boys’ High School in partnership with UTSNZ are excited to announce the launch of a brand-new Tertiary Water Polo Tournament, running 27 February – 1 March 2026 at Lake Karapiro, Waikato, alongside Hamilton Boys' High School's prestigious Senior High School Competition.
Lake Karapiro offers the perfect mix of sporting challenge, atmosphere, and community spirit. Backed by the Waipā District Council, this stunning location provides on-site and nearby accommodation, plus a great social environment to build lasting friendships within the water polo community. And if the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ve secured local pool facilities as a backup.

Our vision is that this tournament will grow into a standalone Tertiary Championship in future years, and this first step is your chance to be part of history.
