2024 National Tertiary Football Cup
Event Brief
The National Tertiary Football Cup returns as our teams fight for a spot at the 2025 FISU University World Cup Football in Dalian, China. The men's tournament will be played between the University of Auckland, AUT, and the University of Canterbury in Auckland (venue TBC) on Saturday the 5th of October. The University of Canterbury will host the women's tournament at English Park in Christchurch on Sunday the 6th of October, facing teams from the University of Auckland and Victoria University of Wellington.
FISU University World Cup Football
The winners of the men's and women's National Tertiary Football Cup will progress to the Oceania qualifiers for the FISU University World Cup, where they will face the winners of UniSport Australia's nationals.
The Oceania qualifier is a single playoff match, with the women playing in New Zealand and the men in Australia (dates and venues TBC). The winner of the Oceania qualifier will then represent the region at the 2025 FISU University World Cup Football in Dalian, China.
